“They say don’t waste your hate,
Rather gather and create,
Be of service, be a sensible person.
Use your words and don’t be nervous.
You can do this, you’ve got purpose.
Find your medicine and use it.”

Medicine for the People - Manifesto (2012)

We are imperfect mortal beings, aware of that mortality even as we push it away, failed by our very complication, so wired that when we mourn our losses we also mourn, for better or for worse, ourselves. As we were. As we are no longer. As we will one day not be at all.

This was a great movie.

Mostly because it was one big ode to Whitman and Thoreau and Transcendentalism. BASICALLY.

This is why I find the brain beautiful!  These images were taken using Diffusor Tensor Imaging ( a process that tracks individual H+ ions through axons in the brain and color codes based on density in real time).  So, what your seeing here is a visual representation of conscious thought.

Our world is a magnificent place. It’s vastness and limitlessness should be celebrated. We need to find unity and spirituality in entities that make us who we are; these elements that connect us - our subjective experience. Forget the things that build walls between us. Being able to delve into the wonders of nature, we can begin to find wholeness and compassion, rather than the need to separate ourselves from others and condemn those who think differently.
